Selvedge gives us a fantastic insight into the wonderful & diverse world of textiles, in fact the magazine is really a work of art in it's own right. With stunning photography, beautiful illustrations & elegant typography, each issue is one to keep & treasure.

Paul and Joe 'Protective Foundation Primer UV'

This is a foundation primer with a difference! The light non-chalky texture applies smoothly over the face to create a cool, sensuous finish. And although primers are designed to be worn under your foundation, this primer is also fabulous worn on its own. The combination of the beige base colour and the blend of crushed champagne pearls give you that Paul and Joe 'Secret D'Or' glow!

This primer also contains a special combination of oils and SPF to create a protective hydrating film. So your skin stays hydrated and your make-up stays put, giving you that fresh, just applied look all day long!

And i know its hard to believe but this primer has one more trick up its sleeve! I know, i couldn't believe it either! It is SPF 40. The result..... your skin is protected from harmful rays without giving you a chalky or cakey look as you tend to get with higher SPF creams. Making this primer not only a make-up must have but a summer must have too! It really is worth its weight in Secret D'Or!!!

Bensimon - A Colourful World

It's been like waiting for a bus with our Bensimon deliveries this year, no sign of anything for ages then they all come at once!

Well we now have loads of stock in all sorts of wonderful colours including our latest arrivals, the lace ups in turquoise, violet & taupe & the elastics in brown. I'm not sure if we'll be getting anymore for summer after this, I suspect not, so the only problem is in trying to choose your favourites...

RELOCATION SALE!

Bohemia is on the move ..... we need more space & much as we love our Dundas Street store we are starting to run out of room here. Our online business has grown so quickly over the past year that we are almost bursting at the seams!

To make our move easier we are having a GREAT BIG SALE starting this weekend, so if you're in search of a bargain head on down to Dundas Street. We have some fabulous, unique pieces of furniture such as one-off antiques from the Swat Valley area of Pakistan. Due to the tragic geo-political situation there these are now real treasures as it is currently impossible to source any more. Odd Molly Fair Wear News

Odd Molly Joins Fair Wear Foundation

'Odd Molly recently became a member of the independent organisation Fair Wear Foundation whose aim is to help improve working conditions in the textile industry worldwide. Fair Wear Foundation will conduct independent inspections of Odd Molly's manufacturers whilst the member companies commit to adhering to the Fair Wear Foundation's Code of Labour Practices. Staff from the Odd Molly buyer and design departments will however continue to visit suppliers and manufacturers as part of the collection's product development.'

It's really encouraging to see more companies taking an interest in the working lives & conditions of the textile workers who produce the clothing we wear. I applaud Odd Molly for joining the Fair Wear Foundation & being proactive in helping to improve conditions for textile workers.  

Personally I believe all trade should be Fair Trade & at Bohemia we want to ensure that all the companies we work with follow good ethical principles. We want the clothes we wear, the gifts we buy & the food we eat to enrich the lives of others, not diminish them.

Style Inspiration - a simple but elegant home

I am so smitten by this lovely home featured on Design*Sponge - what an incredible blue bedroom! That dressing table is wonderful - I picked up some Paul and Joe makeup last week in the Bohemia shop and the bottles are so beautiful that they're just crying out for a French-style table. What impresses me is that this home maintains warmth and personality while still looking elegant and simple; it's not the easiest balance to strike, but Caroline Lubbers (see her food blog Whipped) does it well...

What a collection of lovely blue bottles! If you're ever in the San Francisco area, there is an amazing vintage market once a month in the town of Alameda that has row after row of stalls selling the most incredible things - old apothecary bottles, salvaged wrought iron, fabulous vintage sunglasses and clothes, furniture, and even old chemistry equipment! I wish I'd picked up a few of those bottles last time I was there...

And it's nice to see someone who loves Jellycat stuffed animals as much as we do! Check out the rest of tour here.

Another Delivery of Bensimon!

Yippee! Our promised delivery of Bensimon shoes has arrived & we now have the classic lace up style in mauve & coral plus more of the ever popular elastics in dark grey & light grey. We might also be getting the lace ups in turquoise next week, fingers crossed.

Weirdly, considering how many hundreds of pairs of Bensimon shoes we have sold, I've never yet owned a pair myself. Because they are so hard to get hold of & we have such a huge demand for them I haven't wanted to deprive a customer by taking some for myself. But when this delivery arrived I decided that perhaps, finally, I could own a pair too. So I popped some on & just couldn't bear to take them off again! They are so comfy they feel as if they could have been made for me, I'm so happy :)
