Baby Bloch have to be our favourite baby shoes & we have just added lots of new styles & designs to our range. Made in beautifully soft Italian leathers with a pure cotton lining they not only look great but are the perfect choice of footwear for a baby's developing feet.

I particularly love the traditional pink ballet shoe as it conjures up so many childhood memories for me, even though ballet was never my forte & I would try to hide at the back of the class!

Available in 4 sizes from 0-3 months up to 9-12 months.

Moroccan Leather Pouffes

These images give you a flavour of our wonderful range of Moroccan leather pouffes. They are handmade exclusively for us at Bohemia by Hamid & his team in a small studio in the medina of Marrakech. Hamid chooses the finest quality leathers & these are then finished by hand, either using coloured dyes or natural oils.

As I write, our friends in Morocco are working on our new collection of pouffes & babouches.. We've introduced some amazing new colours for this season which I can't wait for you to see. Delivery should be with us by the end of this month.

Jane Foster Fabric Cats

What a treat the postman has just brought for us - a big brown paper parcel full of smiling cats!

These wee darlings come to us all the way from the studio of Jane Foster down in Brighton. Jane screenprints by hand the cat's faces onto linen & makes the bodies from the most beautiful vintage fabrics.

Our glorious technicolour collection of cats are now for sale in our Marchmont & Morningside, Edinburgh stores, although I can hardly bare to part with them...

Djemma el Fna at Night

Deb & I are not long back from a buying trip to Marrakech, one of my favourite places on earth. It is always really exciting to meet up with Hamid at his workshop, drink mint tea (Moroccan whisky!) & discuss our new order. It will soon be winging it's way to us, a dazzling array of colourful new pouffes & babouches, will keep you posted.

Ornithology at Bohemia...

It's Zoë again! This time I am blogging about the birds who are tweeting and twit-twoo-ing in the Morningside shop with me! Inspired by www.weebirdy.com I thought I would blog about all the wee birds we have here!

These sweet cards just came in, they are not only cute but they have the added bonus of being completely made from recycled materials! Even the inks are vegetable based!

We have these adorable wee birds just in, they clip onto things with alligator clips. We have lots of different ones in pretty colours -each with such sweet little faces!

We also just got these sweet hooks which have little birdies on them! I think £5.95 is quite a bargain for this item!

In the kids corner we have a few birds tweeting, this wee set by Brights and Stripes is too cute! It comes in pink and blue in sizes 0-6months and 6-12months!

These owl cushions are not just for kids! They just look good in our retro pedal cars! The smaller owls are winking wise owls who are good for a cuddle!

Last but not least we have the pleasure of stocking Birdy Nam Nam! These have been so popular and I cant blame you all! They are really cool with their bright colours, the mobiles are fun with the stages of a birds life from egg to adult! All hand made by the designer Jopie Biesters!

Hi! It's Zoë from Morningside Road again! The girls are away this week in Morocco to find some new exciting things for the shops! So here I am with a wee blog to report to you guys on some of the new things we have here in store!

Hello from Morningside Road!

Hi! It is Zoë here, from the Morningside Road shop! I just thought I would do a wee blog about our new shop and about how we are getting on!

We have been open for about a month now! Every day the shop looks better and better as we get more and more exciting new things in and as we arrange it all to display each item as it so deserves! I am excited about a lot of things we are selling but I will get to that in a wee bit! Firstly I have to tell you all to come down and just check out the shop! Our wallpaper is the sweetest wallpaper I have ever seen! SO cute!

The shop rails and shelf edgings are all vintage as well as our beautiful old shop counter which we have in the centre of the shop to display things!

We have been giving away free sweets to customers and I am excited about Halloween where I hope to have some kind of trick-or-treat witches cauldron at the counter full of treats for little kids! (and big kids!)

As for stock right now we have some really sweet things. Here are a few of my favourites...

The Darling clothes have a really nice vintage feel to them, I love the coats and blouses, they are really beautiful.

We have a really cool selection of stationary goods from Cavallini & Co, their gift wrap is good enough to put up on your wall as a poster! I love the old maps on their products and the bird illustrations are so sweet!

We just got these Avoca tea sets in! Really lovely retro designs...

Last but not least my favourite thing we have in the kids corner at the moment has to be these PJ sets! This vintage inspired dressing gown and the matching PJs are just too cute! It goes all the way up to age 10 to 12 but unfortunately that is too small for me! A total bargain at £19.95 and the company who makes them are not only ethically sound in their practice but they also donate a great deal of their profits to a charity that helps working mothers in India by providing mobile creches - www.mobilecreches.org.

Anyway! I hope you are enjoying the beautiful red and orange leaves and the fresh icy air of Autumn!

Radio Flyer, the iconic American kid's toys, arrived today - lots of big boxes of them! Who wouldn't feel proud to own one of these shiny red machines? The Classic Red Trike is particularly dashing with it's handle bar tassels & chrome bell.

A wee taster of some great new pieces from favourite kid's wear label Smafolk of Denmark.

How do they do it? Denmark is such a small country yet bursting with creative talent. Is everyone there a designer?

All dreamed up from the Avoca studio in Co. Wicklow, Ireland, these gorgeous Foible gloves & scarves will add a bit of charm & colour to a grey winter's day.

Loving the vintage inspired rose print & with cashmere & angora both in the knit they are super snuggly too.

Penelope Chilvers Clog Boots

Oh No! I knew I shouldn't have tried these on - now I just can't take them off, they are sooo comfy.

I have a bit of a thing about shoes, much as I'd love to wear high heels I just can't. If my feet aren't perfectly comfortable I don't seem to function properly. It's maybe a slightly old fashioned feminist notion that wearing impossible shoes is akin to Chinese footbinding.

The quest for the ultimate pair of boots is like the never ending story but these clog boots by Penelope Chilvers are damn good. I feel taller & stand straighter with them on & love the rocking movement as I walk. They bring back such nostalgic memories of the time in the 70's when clogs were just the hippest thing. I think they're here to stay...

Wow, this has to be the coolest machine on the block!

Super, sleek & silver this retro racer will have head's turning. In fact, whenever one goes in our shop window, we have an influx of dads who just can't resist it.

Suitable for children aged 1-3 years, this right on ride-on car is not only great fun but also helps toddlers improve their balance & co-ordination skills.
